We thought so… now let us explain.

For most people trying to blast belly fat, diet and exercise, although good for you, sometimes just aren’t enough. What seems to cause the greatest fit in weight loss is suppressing those dreaded “cravings”; an all consuming desire or yearning to snack between meals, or to eat more than is necessary at meal-time.

If this sounds all to familiar then we’ve got some good news for you… if you struggle with compulsive snacking throughout the day due to anxiety, stress, depression, frustration or just plain boredom, saffron extract has proved to be the perfect solution by attacking the behavioral triggers that cause you to snack. Saffron Extract Cuts Cravings

Saffron extract, also known as Satiereal Saffron, shows promise as an effective weight loss solution. This natural supplement was recently recognized by experts as an effective appetite suppressant, meaning that a regular regimen of it can stave off hunger and help you eat less. Let’s take a look at how it works.

What Is Saffron Extract?

The extract is derived from the saffron flower, which is most commonly used to make saffron spice. It takes thousands of saffron blossoms to make just one pound of spice, making saffron one of the most sought-after spices in the world. Saffron spice and extract have been used to treat a number of disorders such as asthma, insomnia, whooping cough and depression.

How Saffron Extract Works as an Appetite Suppressant

The thing that makes it potent as a weight loss dietary supplement is that it acts as an appetite suppressant.

We’ve all heard the term “Emotional Eating.” It brings to mind the heartbroken woman who got dumped and is now elbow deep in chocolate; the busy mom who is struggling to make time for herself while helping everyone else and ends up finishing off a pint of Haagen Daz for dinner.

Interestingly enough, it doesn’t work like most appetite suppressants out there. Most hunger suppressants and foods that are said to curb your appetite work by making you feel fuller than they actually are. Many of these foods contain high amounts of fiber, something that cannot be digested but nevertheless helps to fill a person’s stomach and hold back appetite. It’s one reason why fruits and vegetables work so well in so many diets.

Meanwhile, Saffron Extract works by increasing the amount of serotonin, the ‘happy hormone’ found in your brain. This happy hormone controls what is known as “emotional eating,” or the tendency to overeat based on your emotional state (anxiety, stressed, bored, depressed, angry, loneliness, etc.)

It would also seem that the same properties that make this extract an effective solution for weight loss also make it an effective treatment for depression.

Is Saffron Extract Safe?

There are loads of fad diets and dietary supplements on the market that will reportedly help a person lose weight. Sensa is a perfect example. But the biggest appeal of saffron is that it is all-natural, as opposed to other weight-loss drugs that aren’t. That makes it a lot safer than most. Overall, Saffron Extract is a surefire way to achieve satiety (the quality or state of being fed or gratified to or beyond capacity) and lose weight naturally.

Have you had a thyroid test? It may be a good idea to have one as an underactive thyroid may cause weight gain as well as making it difficult to lose weight. It happened to me, and now I’m on meds. I just bought the saffron extract and am giving that a try as well. I am 56, and believe that it’s harder to lose weight as we age. Good luck.

A great post! I saw this product recommended by Dr. Oz and to my surprise it really did control my cravings. When I ran out I noticed I longed for items that I had easily been able to do without, cakes cookies, etc. So I just ordered my second bottle and so far I’m very pleased.

Thanks for the video. I am constantly hungry and would like to suppress my appetite naturally. Saffron extract sounds great as it can naturally increase serotonin levels which can help regulate the appetite. I often have carbohydrate cravings and is the main cause of my unwanted weight gain. I have been on various diets in the past. Low calorie diets do not work for me as I always end up eating huge amounts of food to compensate. I am certainly going to try Saffron extract as it has zero calories and will make me feel fuller for longer.

  4. Brandon A says:

I’m a big supporter of Dr. Oz and his work, so knowing he endorses saffron extract really helps instill confidence in me as a buyer. I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life, and I’m willing to give anything a try. However, saffron extract feels like more than just “another weight loss method.” Suppressing my appetite is the biggest challenge I face when it comes to make an attempt at weight loss, so the fact that saffron extract acts as a suppressant caters to me wonderfully. This was just an incredibly informative and eye-opening piece on something I legitimately was not aware of prior to this evening. Who knew that extract from a simple flower could yield such incredible benefits and results? Not me!

  5. StephanieP says:

I’ve always been hesitant to try appetite suppressants, as most doctors will tell you that you have to eat to keep your metabolism working to lose weight, thereby eating will help you lose weight. Not to mention, a lot of the suppressants on the market are loaded with artificial products as fillers. That’s why I am interested in this. It’s natural but it curbs, not the whole appetite but the extra eating. Looks like a good product to try.

  6. Jenn says:

I am a big fan of Dr. Oz. I occasionally watch his show and he typically only promotes the products that actually work! I’m going to go ahead and try saffron extract. I find that during the day, I am hungry when I really shouldn’t be! I dislike eating between meals and I hope saffron will help suppress those hunger feelings. I totally agree with Stephanie, there are a lot of sketchy products out there and I’m scared to try most of them. But this one really sparks my interest so wish me luck!

  7. Michelle F. says:

I bought this Saffron Extract with a friend a couple weeks ago, and I have been surprised at how well the appetite suppressant works. I eat a light breakfast in the morning, and don’t even notice I’m hungry until it’s dinner time. It’s great! This has really helped me realize how much I’ve been over eating while sitting at my desk at work. Since taking this, I’m down 12 lbs! It’s just the boost I needed!

  8. wanda O says:

I have tried many weight loss supplements with no success. I was truly amazed how well Saffron Extract works. I lost 2 pounds the first week. It really helps me with that “anxious feeling ” to eat. I am an ex-smoker of 20 years but still have that urge to reach for something . Since I have been taking the Saffron Extract that urge is gone. It is wonderful. I do take a antidepressant too, is it ok to take them together? So far it seems ok.

  9. Alex Wu says:

Wow, I never knew that saffron could be used as an appetite suppressant. I’ve only ever used saffron as a spice, such as mixing it with a rice or chicken recipe. But I’ve never thought to use it to curb hunger. Having depression and recovering from an eating disorder, I do admit that I’ve struggled with “stress eating”, as mentioned in the article. I’m hoping to try this in order to perhaps combat this habit. I also find that I tend to get hungry throughout the day, and maybe by trying this saffron extract, it can help me change my eating patterns. As mentioned before, yes there are a lot of scams and sketchy products, but this seem like it could work. The research and evidence does back it up quite well, and I don’t think I have anything to lose. I’m excited to try it!

  10. Adam C says:

Miracle appetite suppressor would be to just stop eating. Try larger gaps between eating like 6-8 hours. Saffron is great, but they never mention that too much saffron may cause adverse side effects. Well, hey, if this helps to keep people from gorging on doritos it may be a good thing. And I think this supplement should start coming in a non-GMO form or organic at least.

  11. Pete Law says:

Saffron is an excellent flavour to add to a meal but i never thought of it as a way to curb appetites until I read this article. It makes sense that it can stimulate serotonin since we’ve all had that happy feeling when we eat something good. If it can help us reach that feeling without leading to overeating, i’m all for it! Plus it tastes great too :-) I’ll definitely be placing an order.

  13. Ann says:

I have compulsive eating disorder (COE) and binge eating problem (BEP). I have a healthy, doctor-approved diet, and when I follow it, I lose weight and feel great. I also exercise regularly. Where I run into trouble is maintaining my “sobriety,” if you will – my food addiction is very much an addiction, and I have a great deal of trouble maintaining a binge-free lifestyle for more than a few months at a time. What I would love to find is something that will help give me an edge in resisting my cravings (which are stronger at certain times of the day). I’ve heard good things about Sensa, but would prefer something all-natural if possible. Would saffron extract be helpful for someone like me? I’m motivated and willing to do the work it takes to get fit, but I’ve been struggling with relapses for years.

  14. Ron says:

I have a question? When taking Saffron extract did you get a sense of well-being?

  15. naomi says:

I feel saffron extract is helping me lose weight. I am losing very slowly but it is a start. I would like to know how long can you use saffron. How many months to use saffron.

  16. Bonnie says:

hi i am 56 and has gone though menopause and have fibro, arthritis ,asthma I have tried many products on line and on TV even the ones that claim to be all natural. I have been disappointed in them all. I even tried ones the DR. OZ has recommended still disappointed.I even went to my doctor to get my thyroid checked she says it fine. So here is another product that I am wondering will this one work ? Well I’m willing to try. How much of this saffron extract will I need to take to really see results and how long will it take to see the results.

  17. Catherine says:

I lost 6.7 pounds in one week while also starting Weight Watcher’s and eating within those guidelines. Satiereal Saffron Extract allows me to feel full and not crave food or junk food. I knew I was too hungry, but my meals were healthy. However, I just couldn’t get full enough prior to taking it, and now I do not think about food all the time. I am thrilled with this product, and so grateful to have found it.

  18. Saffron Extract Fan says:

For those sitting on the fence, I would suggest go ahead and give it a try. I was skeptical at first but after I have tried it out for the first month I could see the reduction of my cravings. I used to be a junk food junkie. And I knew that was my obstacle to achieving a slim and fit body. I am in my second month now and I have lost almost 3 pounds so far. But to tell you the truth, I once in a while do gorge on junk food (old habits die hard… lol). But I know now I am in much better control of my craving and appetite.
