YOU FEEL NAUSEOUS AND THROW UP
It’s not uncommon to regularly experience nausea when a person has type one or type two diabetes mellitus. It can occur for various reasons. Vomiting may result from the nausea in some cases.
When the body resorts to burning fat and producing ketones that accumulate in the blood, you may feel sick to your stomach. In some individuals, the nausea is severe and causes vomiting. This is known as diabetic ketoacidosis, which can be a life-threatening health problem.
Nausea and vomiting can also occur in diabetics due to complications such as gastroparesis and pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is a disease in which the pancreas becomes inflamed. Gastroparesis affects how the stomach contracts and food passes into the intestines.
