Healthy Fish Isn’t Always Healthy
Fish is high in protein and vitamin D. It’s also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are needed for the body and brain. The problem is that many types of fish are also high in toxic contaminants.
The best fish is low in mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls and has been sustainably raised and caught. Good options include farmed rainbow trout, wild Alaskan salmon, and farmed oysters and arctic char.
